General Privacy Policy

Astarte Web Design values your privacy and will not disclose any of your personal details to another person, company or service unless required to do so by a judgement from a court of law in the UK.

Your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address will not be held on a server on the internet except as required under the The Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 and your details will only be used by us in regard of any work carried out by us for you.

We do not send unsolicited commercial emails (UCE) often known as SPAM and we do not sell, rent or lend our customer details to anyone, ever!

The data we hold on you as a customer is held on the basis of your contract with us for the supply of services. 

What data do we hold?

To supply you with the services you purchase from us we request and hold your name, address, telephone number and email address. 

How do we use this data?

The data we hold is used to register and renew any domain or domain-related service (e.g. DNS) connected with your services with us.

We also use your data to send to you periodic invoices, statements or reminders for the services that we supply to you.

If you contact us with a support query we will use the contact details that we have for you to respond to that query and supply any follow up information you may need from us in connection with that support query.

We may also use the contact details that we have for you to alert you to a security or administration issue in connection with our services.

Examples of security or administrative issues we may contact you about

If we have reason to think that your account may have been compromised, e.g. mass emailing, or suspicious activity being flagged up on the web-space.

If your mailbox or web-space is full or nearing capacity we may contact you to advise you that you need review your use of the space.

If we need to take the services offline for security updates that will impact on your use of our services.

What we don't do

We do not use, sell, or otherwise make available, your data for marketing purposes either by ourselves or for any third party.

Our Use of Cookies
